Open Bid Invitation [Construction]


 


1. Description: Office Renovation (Expansion) at the Embassy of Korea


 


2. Qualification


n  Business that registered for the Embassy’s open bid following the procedures set out below and


that meets basic qualifications (*Decree Article 12)


n  Business holding an official and valid Business License in District of Columbia, VA or MD


n  Business not related to any of these statuses: liquidation, M&A, disposal, legal composition,


court receivership, and/or any types of legal disputes


 


3. Registration Due: Nov 22nd 2019 Fri


- Email the required documents below to generalusa@mofa.go.kr


n  Registration Form (Attached [Form1])


             n  Business License (1 Copy) and other related licenses (if any, 1 Copy each)


n  Brief Portfolio (1 Copy, including past performances last year and current references)


 


4. Site Survey: To be individually contacted for schedule upon the receipt of registration. (Required)


 


5. Final Due: Nov 28th 2019 Thu


- Email the bidding price form (Attached [Form2]) and the contract to generalusa@mofa.go.kr


 


6. Bidding Result: After Nov 29th 2019, to be individually contacted via email or call


 


7. Bidding Decisions: We take the open competitive bidding method, where qualified business is awarded


the bid after review of their competency in the order of lowest proposal estimate submitted.


(In the review, comprehensive factors will be considered including the company size, relevant past performances, etc.)


 


8. Expected Investment Range: USD 17,000


 


9. Contract Schedule:


             n  Contract Signing: Within 3 days from the result announcement


             n  Expected Construction Period: Following the Bid Result ~ End of Dec, 2019


 


10. Bidding Invalidation:


             n  Applicants that do not meet the stated qualifications are not considered for this bid.


             n  Applications with insufficient, forged and counterfeit documents are not considered.


            n When the successful bidder does not wish to continue concluding the contract, it is required


that the bid deposit (which is waived at registration) be paid to the Embassy (*Decree Article 37, 38).


 


11. Others:


n  The Korean Embassy promotes transparency and fairness in contracts (*Decree Article5-2).


n  Any difference of interpretation would follow the interpretation of the Embassy.
